Overview

This week and last saw continued year over year decline. For the week ending October 17, imports were down 21% from the week before and 33.1% from the October 2024 weekly average. Truck transactions were down 9.3% from the week before and 28% compared to the October 2024 weekly average. Vessel lifts were down 12.8% and 29.1% for those respective metrics.  

For the next week, the week ending October 24, imports were down 6.2% from the week before and 37.2% compared to the October 2024 weekly average. Truck transactions were almost stagnant from the week before, up 0.9%, and down 27.4% compared to the October 2024 weekly average. Vessel lifts were down 19.1% week over week and 42% compared to the October 2024 weekly average.
